10TK Khushi project is a sister concern project of Switch Bangladesh Foundation. It’s a recycling project that’s necessary to combat global warming. By giving clothing or goods a second life, the environmental impact of textiles is greatly reduced. Under the 10tk Khushi project various kinds of work are done for the helpless people of our society such as:
The aim of the project is to ensure recycling of any kind of used items including old clothes, utensils, electronics, dumping of unused items in the right place and using them as raw material for making new items along with economic prosperity and protecting the environment from harmful aspects of these items.
We realized while going Corona’s relief distribution activities, not only food but also human clothes are needed. From this idea, under the “10TK Khushi Project” old clothes, furniture, educational materials, shoes, bags, toys, etc. Are collected from people’s home’s homes and distributed among the disadvantaged people for 10TK. Clothes and other materials have been delivered. These activities are ongoing throughout the year
Everyone wants to buy good clothes during Eid. But not everyone has the ability. “Eid Bazaar at 10 takas” was organized to give clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories to the marginal people at a nominal price. A package of semai, sugar, milk and spices are also arranged in exchange of 10 Tk called “sweets package” in this Eid bazaar.
“10 Takaya Khushi” Various times are organized under the project “10 Takaya Khushi Utsav”. This festival is organized so that the underprivileged and low-income people can buy clothes and other necessary items at the lowest price. Here everyone can buy the items of their choice.
To stand beside the slum dwellers who are living in dilapidated and broken tin houses in severe winter, “10 Takaya Khushi ” organizes distribution of winter clothes for 10 taka every winter, so that the underprivileged and poor people as well as those who cannot speak can get a little warmth.
Day laborers, pilgrims, underprivileged and low-income people who go out in search of livelihood find it very difficult to break Iftar on time during the month of Ramadan. A box that provides quality and healthy Iftar worth Tk 70. These packets are distributed among daily laborer’s, underprivileged, helpless and unable to speak for 10 rupees (except those who don’t want to take free 10 rupees and those who are unable to buy food even at a low price).
We mean the northern region as the poorest and coldest region of our country. Aiming at that direction, “10 Takaye Khushi” project reaches the northern region to spread some warmth in severe winter. Among the cold people there, blankets, women’s and men’s sheets, children’s hoodies and various types of winter clothes try to prevent the cold.
Another option is to reuse and customise used clothes and textiles: we use them as a base for different garments, modify them, etc.
